two great fics that taste great together, and other stories
1. I FINISHED MY ASSIGNMENT and you guys. You guys it is more than a page long. Who even am I.
2. I am going to try a new thing! See, sometimes I discover a thing, and I say to myself, "Self, this thing is an amazing counterpoint to Other Thing. They belong together, like a record single or an Ace Double or other things that you are just embarrassingly old enough to remember!"
So here's my inaugural paired rec:
Recruitment by imsfire, and
Gloves by Lexicon_V
They're not perfect parallels, because one is from the POV of the adult with no really good choices, and the other from the POV of the already profoundly damaged tween. But they are equally well characterized and equally heartbreaking.
